Hoffmann tells the story of his three unfortunate loves. The first was Olympia, a mechanical doll. The second was Antonia, a dying singer. And the the last was Giulietta, a Venetian temptress.

The story is accompanied by one of the most harmonic and poetic operas of Romanticism serving as the musical backdrop.
